Research: Postgraduate Opportunity

The Department of Electronic Engineering has a vacancy for a Full time Research  Postgraduate

This research focuses on novel radio frequency methods that employ noise interference reduction techniques at the “front end” of a radio receiver. The basic research question is whether simultaneous two way radio communication is possible on the same radio channel for certain Internet of Things (IoT) applications. This is an important research area because there is a growing demand for value engineered, low power, wireless sensor IoT systems. Low power is desirable as it reduces the complexity of maintaining sensors in a large building or campus.
The ITT Department of Electronic Engineering has a nine year record of collaborative research with local industry in the area of wireless sensorsi. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to conduct research using state-of-the-art equipment, including an RF anechoic chamber, in a newly equipped laboratory in the IT Tallaght Synergy Centre.
